Thursday September 4, 2008
- 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. - Gatorade Bag Check. Law Park Swim Start. Representatives from Gatorade will be on hand to watch your gear, give away some Gatorade, Gatorade bottles, and other goodies.
- 7:00am-10:00am-Blue Seventy Wetsuit Test and Fit Sessions: Does your wetsuit fit? Do you have questions about the swim? Would you like to test swim the latest in wetsuit technology? Come to the Blue Seventy Tent during the morning swim and we are there to help.
- 8:00 am-8:00 pm- Inside Out Sports retailers open in the Grand Terrace of Monona Terrace.
- 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Race Day Café open on the corner of MLK Blvd and Wilson St.
- 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.-Massage Rooms open. Monona Terrace Meeting rooms M&N
- 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.- North America Sports Merchandise Store open at the Ford Ironman Marketplace
- 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.-Ford Ironman Marketplace opens. Located at Monona Terrace and on MLK Boulevard the village will consist of an Interactive multi media center and the Ford Ironman Marketplace with triathlon related products and information. This area serves as a focal point for the week’s events where athletes can socialize.

- 8:30 a.m.-Fit Kids Fun Run presented by WSDC at Monona Terrace-Great fun for the whole family! Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Monona Terrace Rooftop.
- Fit Kids Celebration at the finish line presented by WSDC. Food, fun, prizes and music. Immediately following the Fun Run.
- 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.-Massage room open. Monona Terrace Meeting rooms M&N
- 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.- North America Sports Merchandise Store open at the Ford Ironman Marketplace

Race Day - Sunday September 7, 2008
- 5:00 a.m. -Athletes begin arriving at the transition zone. Body marking opens.
- 5:00 am to 10:30 pm Race Day Café open on the corner of MLK Blvd and Wilson St.
- 6:30 a.m.-Transition area closes. Athletes must be at the swim start.
- 7:00 a.m. -Race Starts-Law Park
- 7:50 a.m.-First swimmer out of the water, first bike starts.
- 8:00 am-8:00 pm- Inside Out Sports retailers open
- 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.-Shuttle bus to Verona Loop begins. Bus Stop is located at Carroll St and Wilson Ave.
- 9:20 a.m.– Swim Course Closes
- 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m.- North America Sports Merchandise Store open in the Ford Ironman Marketplace
- 12:30 p.m.-First Bike returns to Monona Terrace, first runner begins the marathon.
- 3:30 p.m. – Approx. Time of 1st Finisher
- 4pm Massage room open. Monona Terrace Hall of Ideas Room E&H
- 5:30 p.m. - Bike Course Closes, all athletes must now be on the run course.
- 6 p.m.-Bike and Gear Check-out Begins
- Midnight- Marathon course closed. Race ends.

- 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.-Ford Ironman World Championship Hawaii 2009 Registration for those who have qualified, Monona Terrace Hall of Ideas H-IF YOU QUALIFY FOR A HAWAII SPOT, YOU MUST REGISTER DURING THESE HOURS OR YOUR SLOT WILL ROLLDOWN TO THE NEXT ELIGIBLE ATHLETE DURING ROLLDOWN
- 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. -Results books and Finishers Certificates are available at the Monona Terrace Hall of Ideas E
- 9:00 a.m. – Official photos available at the Monona Terrace Ballroom A
- 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. – Lost and Found Monona Terrace Hall of Ideas J
- 11:05 a.m.- FORD Ironman World Championship Hawaii Roll down. Any unclaimed qualifying spots are rolled down to the next person in that age group until it is accepted. Attendance is mandatory to qualify, absolutely no exceptions
- 11:30 a.m. –Philadelphia Insurance Awards Banquet located at Monona Terrace. Recommended attire FORD Ironman Wisconsin Madison “Finisher Shirts”
- 5:30 p.m.-Volunteer Team Appreciation Party-Monona Terrace Exhibition Hall
